Using the Edward Flash Engine, I spent around 6 months putting this platformer together. This is my first game, so I Especially went for an artistic look for the game, so tell me what you think!

Great and neat.

I Think that it wont be a biggy to segment it to episodes as long as they get released periodically as it gives you time to think about what you need to improve the game branching out influences from playing other flash games if games or animation in a nutshell. I Really enjoyed this game it's simple and sometimes leaves it to my imagination on what i or what the game will do next. Great job pal.

(Ha, im getting used to typing english, Im German!)

Tidy, but

Nice animation and a simplistic game. A few bugs that spoil it. Clean it up and you got a decent game. I agree that it could also be improved wit puzzle-like game-play incorporated.

ABsolutely Great

Very nice and smooth graphics.
At the starting screen i thought...oh lord....but then it was just brilliant.

Personnaly i would implement some kind of riddles...not to hard or to many...but so it is just pressing the right cursor.

Shadowfire56 responds:

Thanks! Episode 2 is close to being finished, and it does have a few puzzles. What do you think drew you away from the title screen?

Brilliant!

A true adventure game. the first time i fell i was in disbelief of the depth of the game. very nice. don't listen to the haters, the episodic nature fits with the theme.

Shadowfire56 responds:

Thank you so much, its actually the first game I've ever made, so thanks for the encouragement! :D

It's okay but shouldn't be segmented into episodes

It was reasonable but you need to remove the bugs, especially as it's so short and 'nothing really happens', as it were, you need to make certain it's nearly perfectly coded to get good marks.

Other than that, I appreciate that probably the next parts have not been built and you want to publish what you've done straight away because it's exciting and you want to get it out there, but there isn't enough content here for this episode to stand alone. You're better off publishing all of it in one larger game, and I think players will take more kindly too it too.

It's something I can see you can build on, so I'm not being overly harsh on my scoring, but if I was rating this as a stand alone game, it would only be getting around a 3 - 4. Go through the code, get rid of the bugs, get the second and third parts. or however many you're doing, and publish all of it as one thing, not in tiny segments, and then you'll have a much better game.

Shadowfire56 responds:

Thank you very much! A harsh but true criticism only helps me to create a better game. I think you're probably right, I need to finish up the other two episodes and release them as one big game. Again, thanks!
