The Fall of Doram

Author Comments

Henry Eyrom has been faithful to the Order his entire life. After his adopted brother leaves the religion and joins a heretic politician for the senate, tensions grow. Their Nation, Doram has been divided. Locked in a Cold war with the Eldran Empire, the secular minority is beginning to clash with The Order, which has been imposing stricter racial laws. Henry and his brother meet once again at a political debate between the leader of the Secularists, Kenneth Oren and Doram's Religious Ruler, Linus.

Did this little diddy based on a DND campaign. Hope you like it!

This will go far in the future.

Will, I see this working out so well for you, man.
But as people said, just take it a bit slower on the captions, or supplement subtitles with voice-overs.

If you like, you could always ask me to do one of the characters ;)

+Story +Action +Decent drawings

First of all, I thought this flash was quite good. You seemed to have put quite a lot in planning the story; that's a definite plus. The action is quite nice, and the drawings are decent. What bothered me a bit was the tempo. It was hard to keep up with everything happening at once, you could have some more time between the scenes and do not be afraid to make the gestures slow and detailed! (in the fighting scenes as well!)
Like mentioned by other users, the lack of voice was a minus. Also, adding shade to the characters would increase the quality a lot. Lastly, the background is quite important. Drawing a detailed background for every scene - unless it is the sky - as well as using many different types of hues for the colours is vital for a good animation. Remember that spending time on the details is always worthwhile; 20 seconds of quality flash is better than 2 minutes of sloppy one.

Thanks alot for the review, voice actors and backgrounds and pacing will be improved!

Bit of a bad first impression

I thought this was going to be a bad submission until the fighting scene started. It was really entertaining to watch.

The music was okay, sound effects were lacking and as someone else mentioned adding voices would have made this movie not only more "animated" but also easier to follow. You might want to think about using shadows next time. The drawings are already pretty good but if you would use some decent shades the quality will skyrocket. Plus the transition (except for the beginning) between scenes happened a bit too fast for my feeling.

Underrated and therefor I'm going to give you a 5 but my real rating:
3/5

Thanks alot for the review, I had started on the second one so I definetly rushed this one to get it done. Next one will have much higher quality.

canabalistic-pacmen responds:
