GravityShift

Gravity Shift is my first real attempt at a platform game. The aim of the Gravity Shift is to get to end of each level. However, you will need to manipulate the direction of gravity to move objects in order to proceed.

Controls are pretty simple.
The A and D keys are to move left and right.
Spacebar to jump
Up and Down arrowkeys are use to manipulate the direction of gravity when you have collected the powerups.

The game is quite short I know, but I'm guessing that most people on Newgrounds just want quick and fun experiences which is the main aim I wanted achieve with Gravity Shift. Please let me know what you think and I hope there is enough interest with this project to warrant me to make a sequel.

A bit short, but enjoyable!

its broken dude

i was enjoying myself, then i picked up a little icon that looked like an arrow pointing upward, assuming that it'd change my gravity. it didn't, so i was left unable to complete the level. i refreshed a few times and the same problem. i liked the concept though, maybe a little more QA testing next time hmm?

oh, and your little bloke jumps WAY higher than Mario, so the cute little description in the instructions is a tad off...

eddybull responds:

The game definately has its issues but to change gravity you have to use the arrow keys. Picking up a gravity ball doesn't automatically change the gravity.

I do think mario can jump higher than the game's hero, even if its only by a litlle bit.

good game

couldent really complain easy to control simple gameplay good game cheers

Good.

It is pretty good for a first attempt.

Speed: The current character's speed is kinda low. Please make the character's speed faster in the second one.

Control: Just a suggestion: Make two sets of directional keys, WASD, and the arrow keys. W and up arrow keys to jump. Probably the spacebar to toogle the gravity?

interesting

Interesting idea, but what was up with the controls?
It's an awkward feeling to have to hit space to jump but A and D to move, stick with WASD buttons. Gravity makes sense, odd that one would have to aquire the ability to shift in the way that you do. Camera should be centered due to it's lack of a dynamic camera. Looking forward to the second one.
