This is my first game uploaded to Newgrounds, so please be gentle. Or not.

I think it's an original idea, but then again I don't play a lot of Flash word puzzle games. It took about a month to develop, because I'm lazy, and because it uses Facebook to track high scores. (And doing certain things in Facebook is very convoluted thanks to their broken API.)

Anyway, I hope someone enjoys it.

The dictionary entries all come from Wiktionary (heavily edited and pared down), and as such I rereleased my edits of them under the same license on wordslider.com. Since anyone can edit Wiktionary no doubt there are some crazy, obscure, antiquated, or just plain wrong definitions in the game. I've been fixing them here and there as I see them.

Great game

I do agree that music would be nice, always nice to have something to listen to but for your first time this was really good. The letter movement could be a little less sensitive, they got stuck a bit. Dunno if my score will update, didn't really read too thoroughly, got 464 with a x and u left ><

nice!

I like the game style.

great concept

definitely not your typical find words score points game
only suggestion i have is that some music would be nice

all in all, great game!

sweet :D

great job, this is really creative. i've never played anything quite like it.

instructions would be nice; i didn't see any. maybe some music? and, if there were clear places for letters to go, instead of general...regions. like, spots they could click into. idk if that makes sense. but, go for it. good job =D

Thanks Vampyrita. If you click the "how to play" link a popup window will appear with instructions.

Very good

I've not played a game quite like this before although the various elements are familiar. It's fun to play, although it can be a bit of a pain dragging a bunch of letters one by one around a wiggly section of track; if you make a version 2, a nice feature might be to select a letter and then just click where you want it to slide to, assuming the track allows it. Good work and please do make more :)

amaupin responds:

That's a good idea. If I get industrious I might just implement that in this version. Thanks!
