The game is still in production, as are the follow up cutscenes to this. This is my first Flash project, and I only expect to get better from here.
Please feel free to critique my work, and if you can offer advice on how to improve the quality of my work, i'd love to hear it!
Don't rush Flash!
This looks more like a storyboard then a presentable product. Take your time, visualize what you want your audience to see and feel and take small steps to give each scene quality.
Start by researching videos on character movement. Youtube search for walk cycles or animation.
Give your best effort towards each object that you include in your project (not just a quick map with blue and green blobs on it, or a cat made from two circles)
Be careful with shape tweening. Shape tweens are EXTREMELY hard to get just right.
DON'T BE AFRAID TO DO FRAME-BY-FRAME ANIMATION!! Yeah, it takes a wicked long time, but its the best way to make your flash look professional.
And don't give up. The only way to get better at flash is to use it. Everyone's first animation look like crap.
There are tutorials all over the web. Adam Phillips has some excellent easy to follow flash manuals on his website.

Poor animation, not much movement, and I don't get what's up with the floating treasure chest lid either, that's just weird, and the ninja star thingies need to move faster when he throws them at the can, and a bit better animation when he's loading up the magic bag with loot so it doesn't look like the gold's disappearing and the bag's magically getting bigger.
