Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.

Okay! This is actually a remake of an old game I made using Gamemaker a long time ago; I felt it deserved a do-over. As it turns out, not many people download strange executables uploaded by teenagers, so I think a Flash version will get a lot more attention.

Music, graphics, and everything are all original. ...As you can probably tell, haha.

Controls couldn't be easier: Click. That's it. No inventory or anything, just click on stuff you want to interact with.

The sequel (again, already made in Gamemaker, but I'm planning to redo it as well) will be a bit longer and provide a bit more story. If I can figure out Papervision, it'll also have a 3D bit to it that uses the arrow keys, but at the moment, it doesn't look likely, so don't expect it.

Well, I guess that's about it... Oh, writing down the various things you find might help you piece it all together. Just saying.

Enjoy!

Great Game

this is a great game! Kinda tricky, though- I didn't immediately get what the pieces of paper were clues for.
The game is filled with nice touches, like the message beneath the painting and the clock and the lamp- makes it feel more like you're investigating why you're trapped in the house, even though those things aren't really helpful.
Are you ever going to do Part 2 in flash?

<deleted> responds:

That was originally the plan, but I haven't worked on it in a very long time. I keep getting myself sidetracked with other projects. >.<;

Thanks for your review!

omw

right click+forward but that paintin thing was quiet nice it keeps someone that plays under presure

<deleted> responds:

There is literally no point in cheating on a game like this, haha. That's why I don't even bother disabling the menu.
Glad you liked it!

really good!

these types of games are my favorite. im in the progress of one myself. it was rather difficult but well pieced together. the graphics could use a bit adjusting but wern't half bad. again nice game and keep up the good work. cant wait for the next one.

<deleted> responds:

Pshaw, you should've seen the graphics in the original. xD
Thanks a bunch! :D

hard

well it is pretty hard wich is not a bad thing, the music is pretty good and i have no complaints about the graphics. i liked playing it and i'm looking forward for a sequel

<deleted> responds:

Thank you very much! The next one will be a little easier, I think. I'm glad you liked it. :D

Challenging

Very nice little point and click. While it was short, it was difficult and a little random but still i wouldn't say it was as hard as some people are making it out to be you just need to think a little more. Actually I think you made it fairly obvious but people, including myself, try to look for some hidden meaning heh.

Although the music was hella annoying but I like to mute just about everything on here so don't take it personally.

Overall Nice work. Bring on the sequel.

<deleted> responds:

Thank you!

Like I said, it was based on pretty much my first game ever, so 'a little random' isn't really too surprising, haha.

In the original, the piano keys weren't lettered, so it was a bit more difficult.

Aww, you didn't like the music? Hm, I oughta include a music mute button in the next one...

Thanks again! :D
