nice game, very hard
I absolutely LOVE lamarr, possibly more than the WCC, and this game was great, except it was way to hard. You can barely just jump over stuff and I couldnt get past the 3rd level. I like the idea of the life timer thing thoguh, althoghu it was too hard. And althoghu it is good, I dont really think the pixelated theme goes with HL2.
I like Lamarr more than the Wellington City Council too! (But srsly, what's the WCC?)
On the third level, try jumping up, then moving to the right just as you pass over the Combine's stun-stick. If you just jump diagonally up and to the right, you won't make it past the second Combine. ;)
I think you put a really good effort into the graphics while still maintaining a lot of detail with that old 'nostalgic' look. Unfortunately I found the levels a bit vexing to play since the jump animation had to be very precise each time, and a few of the sounds got a bit irritating after a while.
Otherwise I thought this was a pretty neat concept that could be worked upon- seeing HL2 in pixels was great!
I think so too. I'd like to adapt it to a tile-based platformer someday.
You're wrong JoeMorrisNG.
Level three is in fact quite possible, I should know, I just beat the game. It is, in it's entirety, possible. You just need to work on the timing, level 3 was in my opinion harder than most of the others. It was great game! Very challenging, good work!
'A Bridge Brigade (Abridged)' = Impossible
Level 3 is impossible - you can't jump over the walking things! Next time you create a flash game, try not to make it with pixelated sprites (a little advise for a good game).
This game is actually the exception to the rule - none of my older games used pixel-art for the sprites. This time I decided to make it look intentionally retro.
"There's no place like Ravenholm" = code for level 4, n00b! ;)
very nice idea, cool graphix
only "try-to-jump-at-right-time"-game become annoying too quickly. And it pretty hard for me.
