I made this game with a tutorial from asgamer. So it's totally my own code, i'm just kinda proud I did make a game. But I hope I will make my very own games someday

This is more of a platform than a game.

What I mean by that, is that you've got a really nice starting point for a game here, but this doesn't feel like a game at all, just "eternal".

Back when I was very young and still hadn't caught on to the fact that arcade games required didn't always take quarters properly, I'd start playing a game and not realize that I wasn't actually playing because it hadn't started yet. It didn't take long for it to kick in because there's a sense that even though things are happening on the screen, you're not in control.

That's how it feels here. It doesn't feel like a game at all, it's just things very slowly and randomly shooting at you, and the ship's maneuverability is almost nonexistant.

Youv'e got some good stuff to work with, but this game needs some more time. Perhaps a sense of an actual enemy, and less focus on the concept of an endless zap-em-up game.

Look below

I am going to repeat fiddler2 and Bryan 317. With one small difference, I would suggest a sort of in-game store for upgrading the ship or the weapons. Maybe also an option of what sort of general base stats that the player could decide upon by choosing a body design, i.e. a higher defense relative to other ones or a faster one, or even a stronger one. It has serious potential, keep up the good work. I look forward to your next submissions.

Bleh

Controls are VERY sluggish, graphics average, star background good distraction to make it ahrder if the controls weren't so sluggish.

Maybe change the controls to mouse would increase speed and speed the game up.

Not Bad

Very nice for a first game. Clean and simple, although rather unoriginal. Very nice animations and also very smooth and professional.

Several improvements would be:
1. Wall-bouncing: doing so makes it possible to move faster than you intented. consider a pac-man style warp between sides or a less bouncy (or even damaging) walls.
2. Enemy variation, obviously
3. Feels a bit sluggish. I'd play with the speed. It could be a genuinely challenging game if you sped it up enough and made the right enemy spawn changes while still being very simple.

Keep up the nice work!

Not bad

Its done pretty well. The controls are pretty smooth. Suggestions: The game lacks a sense of accomplishment....No levels and you can't die. Also i just held down spacebar the whole time, maybe a feature where the weapon would overheat from constant use would add some challenge.
