*UPDATE 2/4/2013* I added some medals. You can get one for finishing the game with each ship.

*UPDATE* I've added some minor updates. You can now use both the arrow keys or the w,a,s,d keys to move the ship. I also decreased the number of enemies per level from 100 to 50. Can someone tell me why the pre-loader is only a white screen until the flash has loaded and then it shows up? How can I fix this?

It's my first flash game! Actually, it's my first flash anything. It's a Star Wars shooter starring my own personal characters. Can everyone please recommend this flash for the 'Star Wars' collection. Thanks.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions so far. I plan on making a sequel once I get much better.

When I started this project, I knew 0% about flash. So I added as much to the game as I could to learn more. I'm pretty sure I worked most of the bugs out, but let me know if you see any. I'm worried a bit about the preloader. If you get just a white screen, then wait. It will appear when it's loaded.

Not bad considering it's a first flash from '09 but there are some flaws, namely, the monotonous boss fights, the lack of enemy diversity and the fact that the game is extremely easy, just as the final boss fight.

I'm sure to check the sequels

Not bad at all.

teejay-number13 responds:

Thanks, but this is the old one, did you play my remake?

not bad, pretty cool for a first flash game teejay

It wasn't bad butt it was just very generic and lacking for a run of the mill space shooter.

Like it didn't really have anything to offer. No powerups to buy, no extra missle extensions just shoot shoot shoot and eh. It could be better.

teejay-number13 responds:

Yeah, it was the first flash game I ever made so it is pretty simplistic. I'm working on a remake right now.

I really can not say that I hated this game, because it did have its good points. The overall design was actually fairly unique. What I didn't like was that it was mostly just the same thing over and over. You need to have more variety with the enemies. Dang, it's still good to see those ships. The music was alright.

You seemed to make pretty authentic sounds. It's just that while the designs were unique, they weren't very good. I knew the enemies were the guys with the tie fighters. Gee, I guess I'm not that big of a Star Wars fan for not realizing that at first. It's just too repetitive.
