Take it to the house in this texas holdem variant where you play against the dealer. It's the latest kraz in the casinos.

-Decide the size of your ante, after which you will be dealt two cards.
-If you want to continue, raise two times the ante.
-Three community cards will be dealt (the flop).
-You can raise the size of the ante or check.
-One community card will be dealt (the turn).
-You can raise the size of the ante or check.
-The last community card will be dealt (the river).
-The dealer's hand is revealed and winner determined.
-If the dealer wins, all bets are lost.
-If there is a tie, all bets push.
-If the player wins with a straight or higher, all bets pay 1:1.
-If the player wins with less than a straight, all raise bets pay 1:1 and the ante pushes.

I heard about this game and was curious how it played, so I coded it up.

Bad game

This is not a very good depiction for texas hold'em you cant check or add to your bet very bad graphics not fun at all. Lost complete intrest after half a hand

Ehhh....

I mean it was good... but the whole ante thing was little off. Never knew you had a choice between what ante you put down. Pretty sure it was on the turn... and playing Texas Hold 'Em with two people is like playing chess with yourself. It should have been at least 4. But that's my opinion.

It felt more or less like Black Jack. Only you were putting chips down. And the dealer plays Texas Hold 'Em with you in Vegas? I never had a dealer play with me on Texas Hold 'Em. But then again the tables were never empty, so I wouldn't know if he could play with you.

Anyway, just like Naxster said, it was the weirdest game of Texas Hold 'Em I ever played.

interesting

neat twist on classic hold em.
wouldnt mind a bit of music though.
all in all, it was alright.

RodMagnuson responds:

Thanks. I'll see what I can do about the music.

I won with a queen kicker...

The hand was 5,2,2,9,j the dealer had 7,3 and I had 10,Q.

But on a serous critiquing note. I think this game would be better if I knew what the pot was? Then I could know if the computer raised because it had a good hand. I read your rules but I was thinking strangest Texas Hold 'Em I ever played. Good overall effort though.

RodMagnuson responds:

I didn't make up the rules. It's a casino game in Vegas and Atlantic city. The dealer will never raise. I agree it would be nice to see what you've bet though. Thanks.
