very fun

I've played and compared the 3rd one to this, and I just gotta say the 3rd one was MUCH better because it was very smooth and easy to handle. This game is almost impossible to jump without dying from spikes. The boss battles were to easy here, but other then that it was really fun.

great game, sloppy controls

I really enjoyed the storytelling in this game and the graphical style. it is obvious that an enormous amount of work went into it. that said:

-PLEASE get a spell checker. I know you're not concerned with spelling after all the other stuff, but I am.
-the controls were a bit sloppy, which would not have been a problem if platforming hadn't been such a big part of the gameplay. when my character lands on a platform and then slides off, it gets really frustrating.
-I wanted the swords to have different capabilities besides the special. they all had the same strength, they all did the same motions. it was a bit boring.

excited for the sequel! keep up the great designing and tighten the controls please!

Beautiful but buggy

I think that the design of the game is absolutely amazing. The music was well chosen, the graphics are stunning, and the animation is fantastic. I love the designs of the four blades, and I like how all the characters are in silhouettes (personally, I'd even get rid of the closeups with color features, but that's just me). There were a couple typos, and it was weird how there was a typewriter sound for the boss names but the typeface wasn't a typewriter font. That's just nitpicky though.

The only real thing that kept me from giving it a 10 was the jumping. The whole crouch and charge element to jumping just made it really unnatural and killed me a bunch of times. I was also having some problems with playing in general. With the standard sword, healing stopped working after a little while (even though I had full energy). Also, I had access to all four swords to begin with, even though I only collected the starter sword and the Water one.

A bit buggy

like wad epuffy said but i got other bugs too
-at the part where there was magma, if i hold the UP key and fell into the magma but by releasing the UP key, i will be able to jump out of the magma
- this one was most frustrating...At the 'Betrayal' part of the game, I used the thing to fly (wind like thing coming from the ground) and i moved left while doing so. but the terrible thing is I flew past the wall and into darkness. I waited for awhile but nothing heppened! I couldnt move nor see anything!!! this made me have to restart the game.
thank God I saved
