4 bit uber asteroids... THE BIG ONE!
The game needs to go way faster... like others have said, bigger bullets, clear more area. I love the power of the thrust.... but I noticed you cant really make use of it, and that's what drops my vote from a 10 to a 6, Thats right a full 10 stars shot down because just like the Chevy Corvette, the Ford Mustang... So much raw power, But the speed limit, ticket / fines, time in court and the damn cop just hiding around that billboard waiting to getcha that keeps you from USING it. so you are kinda like the man...give us the power and wait for us to go over what you deem appropriate. Down with capitalist communistic control!!! Grrr, I wanted to give you a 4,... fix those items and we'll see if you get that 10..
I like your metaphor, so you get a response :)
It is part of the point of the thrust that it's too much - the game is about balance and control. And unfortunately, if I spread or enlarge the bullets too much, the game becomes trivial - you could just alternate up and fire, and clear all the space you need. Anyway, the next game we do in this genre will deal with those problems in a new and exciting manner - so keep your eyes peeled!
Almost perfectly addicting...
The thrust is WAAAAY to powerful in this. Tapping your way up is really annoying after awhile, so a suggestion would either be turn down the thrust or make the bullets larger and destroy more blocks.
Other than that, great addicting gem.
Not my fave
The style of this game is interesting - rough around the edges like the first helicopter in a cave game. However, I think that rotating thrust, arkanoid-style controls are best forgotten, and the bullets really didn't do a hell of a lot. So this game gets an eh, but interesting style.
not my type of game, but I like what you did with it. The controls are sensitive which adds to the difficulty, and you could blow stuff up. Simple, yet effective. 4/5 and 8/10.
I always loved the concept of destroying everything!
