I think it's okay. Not great or anything, but it did help me. Can you add a script to this to make it so that when the object gets off the screen or to the end of it, the next frames start playing? (ex. My movie clip car goes all the way to the right and the next frames of the explosion play.) I have no clue if this is possible and I know I can't do it without help.
Useful Concept, but too short...
I would say tutorials are useful flash works, since they might help the making of other flash works, still, you should make ONE BIGGER tutorial involving multiple parts of the flash making process, releasing individual pieces of tutorial won't get you very far in score for utility.
My whole reason for doing these... is long tutorials are annoying.

Someone who isn't able to code well shouldn't make a tutorial. Your code will speed down the whole flash. "_x = _x+30"... this is.. horrible! "_x+=30", eh?

for beginners this is the best way cause it shows whats going on clearly.
beginners shouldn't use short hand code.
this._x += 20; is confusing.
And the way I showed, doesnt slow down games I make... maybe if your making a 5 gig game... but games that are under 2 meg.. it wont do a thing.

I like your effort in making this but next time you make a tutorial add more topics rather than just one and make sure it's good and you should put a more detailed explaination of the actionscript because some people won't get it.
my tutes are for people who dont want annoying detailed tutorials...
