Going for the abstract look.

You thought I wouldn't notice?

Firstly, for the benefit of any bystanders, I would like to point out a few things.
This animation does not belong to Moogletime. It belongs to myself. It was never intended for public consumption, it was meant for a friend. (You may notice the peculiar symbols at the end. Consider it a secret code, it means something to myself and its intended, but not much to anyone else.)
The title comes from the animation of one of Moogletime's friends, "Abstracty McAbstract". I understand well that it does not apply to this animation. This animation is a metaphor for open source software vs. proprietary software. You may recognize the top ten logos on distrowatch appearing on the doors? (The door which she enters has SuSE, my distro of choice on it, of course.)
Please also notice the changes which have been made. My logo, which depicts a heart with an asterisk, and the letters RL in nice curly letters, has been changed to say MT. You might notice that the lovely gradation in the original letters has been replaced by flat white. This is pretty obvious. Also, the second bit should say my name rather than his.
In short, foolish move. I think you will find, Moogletime, that I know nearly everything that goes on? I did warn you.
Tomorrow, I will have the original animation and its working file under my own name, I think.

The word is surreal

Not abstract. Strictly. Abstracted but I would say more like Surreal.

Labeling aside. Did anything in this interest you? It looked like drawing without intent. It looked like the only reason you choose to mess with the environment is because you couldn't think of anything. A good piece of art (abstract, Surreal, Narative, or otherwise) is about choice. Which this piece didn't show a lot of.

First thing off the top of your head is not a choice. Unless you bend your piece to the will of your whim. Don't let the peice determine what happens. You make it happen.

Still keep working. Just don't rest on a term. What you want to do should show. Even in an abstract piece.

There's potential here.

You could do better!

You can draw very well.
But your transitions are very poor.
Take a little bit more time to draw those extra frames, and I think your animations can look very good !

Good luck. Please keep submitting.

Very abstract

I happen to like abstract art. It isnt bound by rules like accuracy, and can be interpretated in many ways. Not to mention that abstract art is always original unless it is a copy of someone elses abstract work. Please put more of these on here, but try to make them longer.

Abstract is right

Well, it's certainly new and interesting. The plot is a bit incomprehensible, though.
