This submission just screams, 50's 60's animation style, from the opening to the blue squiggle explosions, to the little waves in space, it's all emulated brilliantly. The series isn't hilarious, but I'd say the writing is on par with almost any similarly themed shows you'd find on TV, so excellent job on that. The voice acting is also super cool, but xylus needs a better mic if you know what I mean.

I didn't feel like rewiewing every single one but I must say this series was great! Even the special when the Dexter got pissed at a rewiewer. My only beef was the short eps. You could have made them longer, but anyway good job! I hope you make more flashes with these characters. I love to see great original works on Newgrounds.

In this final episode, Xylus and Dexter have their final confrontation with Phineus and have a little tuff between eachother. Can the two come to terms with eacthother in order to defeat Phineus? Another really good episode from a series that has not let me down in one single episode. Chock full of one liners like "Asking to borrow money, and then handing it back is not paying me back." are just the icing on the cake from this series. Your voices seem to be getting even better in this episode than in the previous installments. Loved the background work epecially, it meshed quite well with the characters. I had been putting off watching this 8th and final episode in the series, hoping that there would be some word on a new series, but alas, nothing. Anything you can comment on or do you have a different series in mind?

Somehow, watching that ghost slapping Xylus reminds me of Ren & Stimpy. And I mean the good Ren & Stimpy, not the crappy one that they put on TNN... Good job!
