Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.

Edit: Front page?!? Wow, thanks Tom!

Bear witness to the events transpiring around you and wish for the power to change them.

Arrow keys to walk left and right, Space Bar to advance through dialog.

Wow, finally done. Domestic is an "experimental" platformer that I created just for Stencyl Jam 2015. The announcement for the jam came up while I was still taking a break after my previous (and first) game, so it seemed like a good opportunity to make something new.

This game is primarily inspired by my time as a public school teacher.

Really pushing the definition of "game" here guys. Feels more like a short, but with tempo issues because you need to control the cat.

Not really a game, it's a short emo-ish story. I liked the art, the style did fit the story. This could be developed into one of those art genre games, if there was more player interaction.

Nothing that new or interesting about the story, not much gameplay, I like the cat.
Still, i get why it's in games and not movies, controlling the cat gives you the role of a witness, giving that extra awkwardness to the whole situation.
A choice at the end to stay or leave would be a little extra, what with the "choice" tag.

This was very well done, being forced to use a horrible framework like Stencyl, then making something that has very low detail and performance requirements, but excels in story telling and feels.

Not to say this work is generally a 10-star piece of work, but that given the constraints, it is amazing.
