* UPDATE * - woah, thank you kindly for the daily feature! This is my first time and I have you delightful peeps to thank :)
"The Raft" was my entry to the 2012 GRAPHIC Animation Competition at the Sydney Opera House. Sadly it didn't win anything but I was chuffed to have finished this bad boy on time - including 2 weeks of after-hours/solid weekend animatin' - blleeeeerrrrrgh!
Still a lot I'd like to do to it but most likely never will. Sound is still definitely my weakest skill, BUT I'M WORKING ON IT YA BASTARDS!

Cheers man! Having made it under a tight deadline I didn't really have time to design anyone except the captain, and unfortunately my "style" tends to look a lot like Family Guy - shudder - but I'm glad not many people have mentioned that.

This is quite an awesome animation, you did great on both the drawing part and the animation. In addition to that was the voice acting done very well too. The only thing I regret is that the coding is pretty bad, there's no play-button, so it just starts automatically and keeps going on forever.

I'm still kinda new to flash, having previously used ToonBoom, so the quality of my lines could certainly improve. That, and I'm using a crappy little bamboo and shoddy pen.
Totally agree on the coding, I'm working at adding a replay button hopefully tonight.

All up I'd say a month. Originally this was meant to be my second episode of "15 seconds of Shame" to follow "Fuck Cats", but the competition rolled around and I crammed to finish it on time. So I'd say 2 weeks of loosely working then 2 solid weeks of after-work-hours and weekends. All that blood... fuck animating BLOOD again!
I love it. Hilariously funny at how hypocritical they all are. And I love the fact that they keep doing it over and over again. The end was appropriate as well, and did a good job at bringing it to a close.
The animation is a bit rough at the start when he's first talking, but seems to smooth out over the period of the flash. Could just be my comp. having a bitch fit though.

Yeah, I noticed the animation being a bit choppy at the beginning too... not sure how to fix it. I've baked most of the animation into symbols... maybe it's just down to so much crap going on in the beginning, with the ship sinking in the back. Not sure, if I can fix it I certainly will soon.
