How could this story be an allusion to the New Testament when it was written roughly a thousand years beforehand? I mean gosh, all I ever hear at church i, "wElL jEsuS GOtz 2 b teh MeSsIaH cuz he fufills awl teh critEEriA!" Can't these people see how easey it is to pick and choose prophesys and say your guy's #1?!

Just Take Christmas, the most distorted holiday ever. Everyone know Jesus was born in Nazereth. They're always freaking calling him "Jesus of Nazereth ." But because the Messiah has to be born in Bethlehem, the christians practically retconned it and came up with the Nativity.

To the person below me: It doesn't matter what it was "alluding" to. The fact is (according to a book that couldn't possibly have been fabricated) that god asked Abraham to kill his son and Abraham didn't even question it. What kind of "loving god" would ask that? I swear the Old Testament god must have a split personality disorder. Or just be generally sadistic.

for people that don't know this bible passage is an allusion to the new testament where God gives his only son as a sacrifice to save mankind. The author probably knows this ( or maybe he doesn't care) but I'm sure most viewers don't.
