a nine for my soul's sake, sorry. just kinda takes some guilt off my back.
I think...
The tower was destroyed to keep it from killing people later on. And besides, had they kept trying to get to it, they would've ended up losing faith or some such because they could never quite reach the heavens - they'd get to space, but even that's highly unlikely.
