EDIT: OMG!? 3.97? You guys rock! :P
Hey Newgrounds,
Heres something we've been working on for the rockout competition. The idea is to catch the falling notes (Which synchronize with the music) with your paddle.
However, there are twists and turns in the Medium and hard difficulty levels, so be sure to try them all. In easy difficulty, you just simply catch the notes with the paddle. In medium, you have to catch them as they bounce off a wall, moving at weird angles. In Hard mode, you must go inbetween catching the notes, and playing DDR, so try and stay concentrated. Thanks a ton. We both put a lot of work into this game, and we hope you enjoy it.

One major annoyance...

The DDR (or Stepmania) notes were not in set positions for left, right, up & down, which made it excessively annoying to follow. That and they also seemed to be random instead of following a set dance pattern. Aside from that, good game!

<deleted> responds:

Yeah, I dont that the fla right now so I can't fix that, but if I have a chance to I will.

there was only 1 problem...

the ddr's notes should be set. not shuffling

<deleted> responds:

thanks, Ill see what I can do, but I dont have the completed .fla right now.

Pretty fun game.

Hard mode was a nice challenge. The arrows should respond to a late arrow press so one could time the key press on the beat rather then having to hold down the key moments before it hits the bottom of the screen.

Also, It would be nice for the arrows of specific directions to always appear in the same location horizontally, like in DDR. It just makes it easier to read.

More songs wouldn't hurt.

Finally, you could have both the note things flying down and the arrows coming simultaneously, to make you think more. Maybe a "Very hard" mode?

<deleted> responds:

haha, I have trouble doing the arrows and catching separatly, doing them at the same time would be nearly impossible xP

How is this rhythm?

I thought the rock out contest was supposed to be rhythm.
But I liked the songs and how every difficulty gives you a new obsticle to try to do.
One of the most original things I have seen this whole contest.
You get my 5.

<deleted> responds:

Thanks, It actually is a rhythm game, might not go with the beat welll enough though :P
