Thanks!

I do really draw better freehand, BUT i think a wacom tablet is waaaaaay too expensive.
Maybe i could forfeit my birthday present for one year then get a wacom the next.

i know a name! the crapilly drawn character that should never be put into a flash ever!

its a great name :D J/K lol. looks ok you can make a mediocre flash with it if you can animate good enough.

My suggestion would be to draw the drawing yourself (as you already did), then go trace the origonal. After that, compare the traced drawing to your own, and see what's different and needs to be fixed.

It has helped me a bit :P

Working on something. When I finish, if the file size isn't too big, then i'll submit it.

My only complaint is the ponytail. I feel as though it would be much better if you animated the pony tail bouncing up and down as she ran ( During the backshot view).

Response to Newground Artist showcase thread 2005-05-08 01:47:04

Well yes. I always animate that last. Don't worry it'll be added. Just wanted to know what people thought of what i had so far.

I like it, although the jpeg quality on the first couple of frames is pretty rough.

Cloud FFVII AC

Here's a piccy of Cloud from FFVII:Advent Children which I spent the weekend drawing. C&C please. It's the first time I've tried drawing characters at this angle.

Thanks.

TBO, looks very nice...the only thing is that the highlights in the hair almost look like u randomly scribbled in it

It gets a bit like that... I can't remember it being this bad a few months ago, but maybe my memory deceives me. Picture? This is from a photo of one of Denvish's daughters. I've been working on a photorealistic drawing of his two daughters since late last year, and because I've taken so bloody long I thought I'd do some quick one's too, kind of to make up for it. Comments?

Take a look at a real landscape and try to understand the textures and shadings.

Whoa... at first glance I thought that was a paper maché doll...

GREAT JOB AGH!

A LOT of depth in it. The bright white highlights really make it look like it is in real light... awesome job.

No more animated sigs. :(

Wow, AGH, that's incredibly nice.

If you don't mind my asking, how do you refrence your photographs against your drawing?

Its really good. My suggestion would be to do something different with the clothing. It has the same texture as the hair and skin and makes it therefore look a bit organic instead of synthetic. But the overall effect is really cool and theres real personality in it. awesome

once ur done with the voice acting you should make him like point to himself etc. that would be good. like i ahve come (points to self) to my senses (points to head) and he should be saying all that while hes walking. that would be awesome!

That wouldn't... look too great.

Unless it was insanley professional fbf pointing, walking, and lip synching.

But I doubt that will happen.

Still, I agree to some respect. He should be doing SOMETHING.

In music videos people don't just stand and sing.
