I don´t think a port to Steam is impossible, since the "base platform" is the same. Since the Xbox 360 is a PC dedicated to gaming (just like every other console). the base programming was made on the PC right ? So I think a port won´t be too difficult. (Hope I´m not saying anything wrong). Me thinks it´s more paper work than anything else. Please don´t kill me

So it's possible to get C.C. on Steam?
I hope Tom and Dan think about it.

I object to your bumping, but DanPaladin's post on the other page was worth it.

Castle Crashers is not coming out for the PC, PS3, Wii, PS2, Mac, N64, Genesis, NES, Atari 2600, or whatever the fuck you morons want.

Now, let's go through why a port will probably never happen:
-The Behemoth signed a exclusivity deal with Microsoft.
-Lots of people own a 360.
-The 360 has an appropriate fanbase for retro styled games. Chances are a long time console player will be more familiar with Beat 'em Up then your typical PC zealot.

You do realise Behemoth are porting it to the Ps3.

Also i would buy it of steam. Seeing as i currently don't have Xbox live.

I concur.

I think they should ditch the PS3 port and make a PC one instead, i mean if your a fan of NG then you have to have a computer. And because of its Flash-likeness it would have low requirements so most people could play it.

And it could be sold via the NG store.

Sounds like a good idea actually, I'd buy it.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

okay just to sort it out

Why it won't come to steam is beyond me, probably the keyboard wouldn't work well...
but it was made in the same indie game program that works for 360 AND PC (and Microsoft makes PC's for everyone saying that PC's and Xbox's are different)

as for the Wii?
The Wii has an online (WiiWare) Maximum download size of 40 MB
Castle Crashers is 148MB

Castle Crashers + Wii = Impossibility
Castle Crashers + PC = possible but unlikely and not convenient.

Also I'm actually buying a $300 Xbox 360, JUST for CC (and MvC3 when it comes out)

THAT'S how great the game is

In the perfect world, every game system would have Castle Crashers. The problem is, it takes too many resources to port a game to a new system. Look at Valve itself; they didn't have the resources to port the Orange Box collection to the PS3, so they got another developer to do it for them. Valve has over 200 employees, the Behemoth has less than 10. I'm surprised they even ported it to the PS3.

Lol, it came out for ps3.
Seriously, where's the Steam release. I don't understand why Castle Crashers and Beautiful Katamari were released for the 360. 360 gamers are a different breed of gamer, and these games don't fit into their type imo.

Castle Crasher would have made much more money if it were released on Steam. I doubt there would be any rights issues, since microsoft owns both Xbox and PC's.

No, not really, the Xbox fanbase is full of fratboys that think Halo was the first FPS game ever. "sup brah let's go play sum halo brah" PCfriends or even Wiifriends would be more used to retro games.
And the Wii fanbase is full of man-babies who buy every Mario and Zelda spinoff and the PC fanbase are grumpy graphic-whores who rant about how consoles suck and PC's will rule the world.

And then there's The Overall Gamer, who would play any good game no matter what system it's on as long as he has the system.

But then again there's the XBox gamepad, which you can get at any good GameStop for 30 bucks a pop.

*pow, hits your face*
