Holy wow, that took FOREVER to upload
Anyways, all my parts are in there (including the reverbs, which are prepanned). The instruments are also prepanned but you can change that as need be. Anyhow the file itself is about 173MBs and once you unzip it, it's about 450MBs because each sound file is a 24bit wave. So yea it's big.
Let me know if you need anything sorry I'm lagging behind a bit.

PS - Light auras suck.
Any progress?
(Also trying to keep this on the front page so I don't lose it)

Stop crying. I'm working on it. I don't exactly have no life ya know ;-). You're welcome to mix it if you want. Then *I* can cry about how long you're taking... I'm picking up a 24ch analog Dynamix 3000 mixing console tomorrow. I'd like to mix it on it. Is that ok with you?

P.S. Tough love kid. Tough love...

Hah. Silly evils.
FYI:
Jimmy Eat World's "Bleed American" album was recorded on the same console. So was The Eurythmics "Sweet Dreams". Poison and some other bands as well had platinum records outta the same console. It's actually funny, I'm getting this modded console from Scot Alexander from Dishwalla. They used it for b sides and the soundtrack for American Pie. It's an old console, but a nice console. I'm being completely serious. I'll have pictures tomorrow ;-)

Hey man, I'm just kidding.
Dude, that's frickin' sick Joel. So, um...you have room for that? lol, it looks HUGE. Anyways, can't wait to hear your stuff. I'll mix it if you want but we all know that will take FOREVER >.>. I think our song is in good hands.
Loans, go back to your cave, you just wait til we're done. We are gonna win because our mixer's bigger than yours (or something else - I dunno I'm tired). Either way gtfo :D
Joel, update us when you're finishing up. Add some sick finishing touches on that if you would.

Sorry, I'm kinda on edge. My apologies for being curt with you. I really am sorry.
Sin:
I have to find a console stand that can support a 200lb solid-steel 80's era console. They just don't make 'em like they used to. This thing is a BEAST. 5ft long! Now to clean the modules and get this bad boy in shape...
I can't believe Scot Alexander is gonna be in my house!!!! OMGWTFBBQ!?!?!?!?!? I'm gonna have him sign the console! LOL

Awww...I want one...
Well, I had to trade some of my gear to afford it. It also needs some TLC, but I love the sound of this british beast. I can't believe it's gonna be here today!!!!
I'm gonna have Scot sign my console, to forever mark this wonderful day (which also just so happens to be my buddy's b-day). Fuckin' UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I can't wait to rip this bitch apart and start cleanin' her up!

That's sweet man.
I've always been confused about hardware mixers. I've always used the built in software mixer in Logic Pro. Does a hardware console like that have to be hooked in to your DAW? or do you line up all the tracks with each mixer channel and mix away? I guess I'm just a little young to really understand how all the ancient hardware worked haha. Either way, it sounds pretty sweet.
I've got a long list of purchases before I can think about anything like that. Good luck on that one and make sure you rip apart our song with it (but please but it back together nicely :D).

Well, it's a 24 channel, 8 bus board. I can basically run from my DAW to my patchbay, into the inputs of my board, then mix through it either directly (using each channel's direct out into a separate DAW channel) or I can sum into 3-4 (up to 8) tracks on the mix bus (i.e. Ch.1-5 sum to bus1, 6-10 bus2. Then use the "stems" in the daw...
What I'm probably gonna do with this one is this:
Mix ITB, then run the mix through the master bus giving it the color of the analog board. I'll see if I can maybe sum into 4 tracks (2 L/R combos) and get it together. I'll post an update today.
-Joel
Usually you'd print to 24 track 1" or 2" tape for full analog. Too expensive right now LOL.

Alright man, good luck, keep us updated, and have fun with your new toy.

Sounding good so far, can't wait to hear it all finished and mixed!

It's a fixer-upper, so don't envy me just yet. I'm gonna work on the song later on today (sorry, my buddy got a b-day tat yesterday, and I promised I'd go along). I'll have something to show soon, I promise.
