Can't newgrounds Increase the file limit size?

I can't compress my file.

ither that or can someone show me a link to a swf. compressor

I tried google, but nothing came up.

if he thinks it is good enough,he will let you surpass the limit.

also try swf compress.
it isn't that good(KNOWING IT DOESNT COMPRESS MUCH)
but its free.
and if you have like 11 MB.it miht lower to like 10 or sumthing.

How to compress
Go to publish settings and compress it (File > Export Settings). Compressing the sound works very well.
Get rid of any unneeded symbols or pictures.
Make sure its the file size of the .swf, not the .fla.
Watch some flash tutorials for compressing your flash. Like this one (Go to compressing section).

I tied file compress and I have an 11MB swf. file, but it didn't compress

and I won't bother PMing, my flash isn't that good

Try taking the audio you're using and compress that in Sound Recorder.

I'll have too many audio to compress, and I need all those sounds.

It's tedious to compress each clip, yes, but it's your best bet. It can probably knock off half your file size if done right.

for a long time NG's limit has been 5mbs.

10mbs is huge, since 10mintues of animation w/ drawings is equal to 800-1100kbytes and you have plenty for audio.

Ask tom if he can increase it for you, thus why some movies are over the limit. Also look for a tutorial that shows you how to compress it.

k, I sent Tom a PM, and I don't know how to compress an audio file, but I figured out why my files are so big, Motionartist doesn't compress the audio for swf.
