In the old levels there was only one level 30 except if they had the same amount of xp. Since no one is a level 60 we don't know what will happen and if there can be more than one level 60.

Many parts of the FAQ are wrong, as they've just been copied from the pre-redesign FAQ, and in this case, '30' has just been changed to '60'.

For example, the FAQ states that "Levels 1 through 8 are static in that their level requirements and range remain fixed; each is 50 points apart", which is untrue, and is how the original levels 1-8 were.

Frankly, guys, until I see it with my own eyes, I pretty much assume the new NG works the same way as the old NG does. Meaning, I assume that once Pimp hits level 60, level 60 will be just like level 30 was on NG, and Pimp's exp deposits will push it (and all the levels down to a certain static level) up every day, and the VP will scale as well, and things will be much the same as they once were... only with a gentler chock-full-o-levels curve and all.

Eventually, things could get as bad as they were pre-redesign, but that's a long way away now (10 years?) We don't have to think about it :P

See the old system? I'd love it, of course. I had no problems with the exp/level/VP systems pre-redesign, I haven't made a secret of that.

I checked his stats on NGLog for the 23rd of July 2007. Back then he was level 50. So yes, after the redisign Pimp was level 50 and not 51 ;) .

If we can have only one level 60, and that person's voting power doesn't increase, does everybody else end up going down, and will the difference between leveling change also? Given that the level 60 deposits daily, wouldn't that raise the curve for the rest of us?

Everyone else's VP only goes down if they don't deposit.

If you deposit, your VP goes up every day. Just less and less the closer you to get to level 60, and it goes up slower overall if the level 30/60 is depositing daily. If that doesn't make sense to you, then please clarify/restate your confusion.
