my votes accually start making a difference in the score at which i vote for a movie. Say i vote on a movie that has a 3.26 score and i give it a 5 the score doesnt change. does anyoe know the answer to my n00byish question?

This is indeed very random. I see you have poor math skills too (no offence). Let's say you have a 1,5 voting power.

If a movie has got 0 votes, and you are the first to vote, the score is the score you voted. If there already was a vote, your vote would count half of what it is (unless the person that voted before you has higher/lower voting power, which would give your vote more/less impact).

If a movie has f.ex 40000 votes, a voting power of 100 would still probably not affect it.

But the vote is registred, the score may be 4.12.34737 after you vote or anything...
I dunno which decimal Ng stopps at in this case.
