i was asking because i wathched it on tv and i didnt think the way it was done was real
Fake ID = Scanner + photo editting + high quality printer = crime.
in a nutshell
"Real" fake ID, with all the security features = social engineering + someone else's documents = crime.

Obviously you could make a Fake ID for personal use, for artistic purpose. Just scan in an ID card that you have, edit it so that it wont get you in trouble using Photoshop and then print it out on a high quality printer, then laminate. Wallah! A fake ID to add to your portfolio.
