i need help i want to use my new built site in dreamweaver with 1and1 hosting but it says im doing something wrong???
i enter login host password name of site and everything flawlessly
but still no go?!?!?!?1
someone help ive consulted 1and1 and its been 2 days and they still aint answered!?!?!?

I gave you a link for a Dreamweaver MX faq, which contains a link to further information on getting your log-in details correct.
It also says on the FAQ that you can use:
WS-FTP Guide
WISE-FTP Guide
Cute FTP Guide
FileZilla Guide
I would suggest either WS-FTP or FileZilla.
The important thing is your website goes up, not what program you use. Make it in Dreamweaver, get it up and sort the Dreamweaver FTP log-in later if you can't do it right now.

ok ive tried all ur ideas the best 1 was creating an ftp account i did and now it still dont work!?!?!?!?!?!? all the details are perfect but no go....
o-well my site will never be good i H8 1and1 hosting >=(

I had this problem with my current host, I used WS-FTP and later switched to FileZilla (to see what it was like). Long story short, they worked straight away, buying me time to figure out the settings for Dreamweaver

They are FTP File Transfer programs and most hosts will recommend them as they have the least problems logging in and are easy to set up. If you use one it means you make your site in dreamweaver and use the FTP program to transfer the files to/from the server.
so how do i get these types of ftp's?

You need to upload your files onto the net so that they're accessible by other people
And dus, hav, and sumthing aren't words.

When you send data to a third party (eg. the text in the forms you post or a file) you are uploading.
The reverse is true for receiving, or downloading.
If you're sending the files and folders that make up your website to the server you are also uploading. It's meant to happen if you want your site on the net!

Also try ringing one of numbers on the

i bought mine ages ago... and as for ringing i cant my so called bill payer wont let me....
besides last time we rung a number like that cost us 200 pounds...
just save the webpage then open it wit dreamweaver, eg save the webpage as a html file then open it in dreamweaver
