Couldn't it be a work in progress? I think it's a good idea to keep it at least a couple of months behind the times, though, to make it easier to see what's truly notable.
This is your chance to make suggestions! Point out what major events I missed and which talented artists I've overlooked.
At the risk of inviting flames, I definitely think the first Star Syndicate submission is worthy of mention. Maybe it's there and I missed it, but I only saw a mention of the second Daily Day. Love them or hate them, they are a huge part of this site and definitely deserve a bigger place in the official history.
Barney Bunch, too, to a lesser extend.
Otherwise, this is a great beginning, and I'm looking forward to seeing the 2006 writeup.
You crack me up Tom.

Hi there!

Wow, such a lot of information about the flash portal. Good work for getting that done Tom.
I still plan to put together collections for things like Tricky, F-Day and Wade Day, as well as annual group events and the long awaited Star Syndicate collection.
Annual group events? Will you be making an Anti-Clock Day collection? :D Also, the SS will be getting a collection? :O
I might not add 2006 until the year is over, but there's a chance I'll make it sooner.
Fair enough, but will you add ATWI80D onto the 2006 section? :P

It's been in there - December 2003. It started with Chapter 2 since James didn't submit Chapter 1!

Karma Ghost should be in there already, but I definitely need to add "From My Room".
The big thing I need more detail for is all the little feature changes and introduction of collections like you said. I covered 2003 pretty well by going through old front page posts and I still need to do that for other years.
Going through old posts, it was crazy to see how often we were apologizing for and explaning issues with the servers. I feel like I'm already taking it for granted that the site just WORKS now for the first time ever.

You know you did with "The Maxwell Edison Story", don't you? The only historic thing in that movie is the imparted Beatles which achieves to popularize the entry.
Also I can't believe you left this out! Hostage Situation 2!
Good points. I was on the fence with Maxwell, so I decided to prune it, since it uses a Beatles song. I added HS2. :)

There's also Weltling in there, and I linked to the IGF page. If only I had finished making Peashy with him back in the day... I backed out when we started doing the console version of AH.
Bah, still no Piconjo section Mr Fulp! He deserves a spot on NG's history since the Piconjers were essential to the way the average newgrounder thinks about the flash artists and questioned their abilities.

I feel like Resident Evil 2.9 doesn't quite belong, but decided to go ahead and toss it in there for now since it's funny.
Field Guide to Snapping was a good choice - I never felt like it was as popular as it should be, I was really proud to have it on the site.
I laid off the Final Fantasy character movies, just to avoid FF character overkill.
Trapped, Deep Fried and YTown were all in there already. I added X-Men, Out of this World, Mario vs Sonic, Polka, Rokemon and Mystic Island!
Thanks for the great recommendations!

That's REALLY great stuff. It's an excellent read.

Was realeased in 2006. Which isn't over. So it doesn't have a page yet.
Great new feature. Didn't realise I'd been here so long and it was great to look back on the time I was here and learn about the time before.
I really don't think it needs any pruning. I only read up until 2004, skimming the rest but didn't see a mention of the raising of the number of votes needed. That was a pretty big event and gfoxcook and others who did much slogging should get credit. (Not me - I did little.)
Also, if possible, it'd be totally awesome to be able to see the old post-voting animations.

Maybe you should put some Toof stuff in the next one
"From My Room" in 2001 zipped straight up to the top of the top 50 chart when it came out. Hell, it prompted you to argue it "the greatest thing thing on newgrounds" in its collection page. At the time I was willing to agree with you.
I can't be the only one excited about a Tricky the Clown collection. He's well overdue for one.
Newgrounds Collabs Day !!!!.
NGC deserves it!
Tom, you have seen to forgot Killing Spree.. = /
