Flash crashes 2006-08-09 19:34:25

I'm not sure if this is the right place but I don't know where else to turn...

Recently my flash (Flash MX 2004) stopped working as it used to.
Whenever I start the software, open a new or old project and come
to the "working screen", everything crashes with the usual error screen
telling me that "Flash MX 2004 have encountered an error... bla bla".

First I thought it might be my flash because re-installing it didn't work.
Then I downloaded the trial version of Flash 8 Professional but the same
thing happened there. So I kinda figured something in my computer is
messing around with the software. I read at another forum that Quicktime
blocked certain files needed to use flash but uninstalling that didn't work
either.

So basically, I'm clueless what to do now. Anyone recognize this issue?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

This might sound like a really dumb question, but have you restarted your computer?

Sometimes people leave their computers on for weeks at a time. If your one of those people, restarting could help problems like that.

I would guess this probably isn't the case though.

It's been like this for some time now so restarting the computer doesn't work :(

Did you install any other software since it started happening?

I'm not sure. The only last software I recall installing was iTunes
when I bought my Ipod, but other than that... no. The strange part
is that it did work as usual and then slowly it started to crash more
often until the state it is in now where it crashes as soon as I start
moving the mouse in the working area :/

This might be a crap suggestion, but this problem of crashes could be down to some sor t of spyware or adware? I highly reccomend downloading Ad-Aware if you havent already, run a full system scan to clean up your computer then restart it, Might do just the trick :)

Download Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE Personal
