It's so there's not so many frames all in one place.

They suck, though.

The ONLY use they have is for organization, but they're really not very useful. At all.

That is, unless you have a REALLY large, REALLY complicated movie. Be warned, however, absolutely everything stops at the end of a scene. Sound, movieclips, everything stops.

Yeah they suck

Let's say you are animating. You finish, all done! Your first flash movie is FINALLY done... Oh my God! I forgot a PRELOADER!!!!

Now, you know that you can't move ALL those frames without Flash lagging and my computer crashing... Hmm, what can I do!?

Make a new scene! Put the preloader there, and organize the Scenes! (1 being preloader, 2 being animation)

Use your imagination =p

I find scenes usefull for organization, instead of having 500 layers, you can have 40, and like 3 scenes. Its a way of organiztion like -Luis- said... my best friend :P <3 Luis

Zac, you update your text on your sig more than you change your underwear. Which i guess isnt that hard to accomplish in your case.

I use a single scene for every level in my game. Works good for that, but nothing else.

Is that a spam post? I think so. Please don't make all cap posts, its annoying as hell. Making one word all caps is fine but the whole post being caps is annoying.

Ah, yeah, I forgot about that aspect. For animation, however, it's pretty much just an obstacle.
