how can u say that although the graphics on an xbox360 are strong that dosnt mean all the users are "graphiv whores". I would like it if they had for other systems but xbox live arcade is a perfect place for this and alien hominid.

I could see it being on the Wii's Virtual Console when Wii comes out.

"Castle Crashers"? Seems like a good name for your new console game.

You should bring it out for the Wii.

It has been confirmed that it will ahve a marketplace system similar to the Xbox360, whic indie devs can use.

Good luck at the show, I guess Samuel L Jackson and Nicholas Cage are supposed to show up, according to the News, which lies all the time.

Tom!
I suggest looking into a Wii port, I hear that developing for the Wii is actually VERY similar to developing for the gamecube, so hopefully a port wouldnt be too hard.

and of course, you can always use the existing cube controlers with the Wii, so it seems a very wise move to me.
If this for some reason isnt possible, then i may well need to get hold of a 360, but honestly.. i cant seem to justify the cost of the console considering that the only games i like on it are geometry wars, and soon to be alien hominid (which ive completed numerous times) and castle crashers.

only pussies don't want to by an xbox360, pussies and those who can't afford it, anyway.

Excuse me but 360 has to be the most pathetic of the new consoles exactly what in the 360 is new from the previous generation besides graphics and a slightly better Live service (which will be trumped by Sony's FREE online). Besides the only thing good on the Xbox is Halo and if you have Battlefield 2 and Timesplitters you really don't need Halo.

No Gamecube version, huh? Only the 360 Live Arcade so far? If you want people to get Castle Crashers, I suggest making the game a little more readily available to the entire gaming audience.

As many people have already suggested, you should make the game available on the Wii's Virtual Console. You don't even have to use the Wii's controller, if you don't want to. They have a controller available to play classic downloadable games, so why not use that for Castle Crashers?

I honestly think you'll lose a lot of potential buyers for Castle Crashers if it's only available for the 360's Live Arcade. No one will pay $400+ for the 360 just for this game. Even then, there may not be many people who have the 360's online service that actually want to buy Castle Crashers.

I would seriously reconsider making it on the Live Arcade only. Even if it doesn't end up on the Gamecube, PS2, or Xbox, you should really make it for the Wii, as well as the 360.

Just remember this: it took Microsoft about 4 years to get 2 million unique users signed up for their online service. It took Nintendo about 4 months to get 1 million unique users. And with the Wii's free online service (along with the general excitement and anticipation of the Wii), more people will sign up for the online service. This only means more potential customers for you. I think a lot of the others on Newgrounds awating Castle Crashers would agree with me, but we'll let them decide.

Just take it into consideration, Tom.

Although putting CastleCrashers on the Wii would be simple, i wouldn't like the controller feel with it. With that kind of game, its a face-paced two-handed control instinct, but the wii is a one-handed skinny tv-like remote, so it would be rather gay. I say bring it to: Xbox360, PS3, PSP or DS.

1) Have you heard of the Nunchuck attachment?
2) Have you heard of the "Classic"/Virtual Console controller?
3) Definitely not PSP

That is all.

besides, there is no need for those addons, you could just plug in your old NGC controller into the Wii and play it traditionally or something...

hope you guys reconsider it, you'll get a wider audience if you release it for both XBLA and the Wii Virtual Console ;)

I hope it ends up on more than the Xbox360. I know it's easier to get distribution, but if it's possible to get it on the PS2 or downloadable for the PS3 and /or Wii, that would be cool. I'd like to actually have it as a game with a case and stuff. I hope that happens.

Response to Comic-Con 2006! 2006-07-21 17:59:04

i really want it on the ds and/or the wii. i mean not many people are going to buy the overpriced psp,ps3, and xbox 360 for this game

My birthday is coming up in a few weeks, and I was wondering if you could get me some microsoft points so I can get Castle Crashers and Alien Hominid when it comes out.
