Crazy to learn that Lugia is the only Pokemon that wasn't created by Game Freak. And it was originally supposed to be female, but they went against the creator's wishes. What makes that crazier is that the very next generation introduced legendary Pokemon with genders (Latias and Latios), so if everything went as planned then Lugia could've beaten them to the punch.
