GLENSIDE, April 1 -- Newgrounds.com, Inc. today announced the acquisition of popular comedy portal, I-Mockery.com. Thomas Fulp, president of Newgrounds.com, obtained approval from investors to purchase I-Mockery and rebrand it as I-Grounds, the Newgrounds comedy portal.
"Newgrounds is a popular entertainment site, but so is I-Mockery. By owning I-Mockery, we become a single more popular company. It's sort of like how if you have two six year olds, they have a combined age of 12. Now we can beat up the 10 and 11 year olds."
Fulp said, "Also, we get to count all our traffic on Media Metrix under a single umbrella, so advertisers will think we are more popular than we really are."
Roger Barr, founder of I-Mockery.com, has assured his visitors the acquisition is in the best interest of I-Mockery.
