well yes

their are tons of Hotspots out side

mainly around office buildings,and coffe shops

but if you know some one with a router you can get a signal off them

if the Signal is unlocked then you can connect

but if it isnt locked and its asking for a WEP code

you are gonna have to ask the person who owns that said wireless network(*router*) and ask them to unlock it

or you can just buy the USB dongle

or a Wireless router

well my library offers free internet for people with laptops through a wireless router.

There is an access point near my house, but I need the WEP key to use it. I'll try to get to a hotspot one day soon so that I can use it, till then, more battle mode for me.
