Well do sorta have the: 'unless the list holder entrust the position to someone else nobody takes it' system...

I wrote Auz a PM, and was patiently waiting for a reply.

Have a bad reputation. I missed one and abbreviated the other. Glad that you still understood my point.
For sure.

That is not just busy for me. Its too busy to update this topic at least once a month. Once a month, is really not busy at all.

As someone who has maintained a club list and a Top Reviews (Audio) lists before in the past, I can verify this. The Review Request Club list took roughly around an hour to update since I had to check submissions for who all had done reviews or was joining the club. The review list took around 2-3 hours for me as I had to update all the numbers as well as compare numbers to the previous update to update who all had gained or lost reviews.

Ah yes, didn't remember you actually had some history with these review lists too! I suppose this one's a bit quicker now with the new way of fetching the data, but it's bound to still be a while. Good to know about those! The hexalist takes at least 1-2 hours too... not counting crawl time.

Final Newgrounds Stats for 2018:

  • 385 BBS posts
  • 345 flash reviews
  • 79 game reviews
  • 78 audio reviews
  • 133 art reviews
  • Total Reviews: 635

Compared to 2017's stats :

  • (Forgot to log BBS posts)
  • 291 Flash Reviews
  • 63 Game reviews
  • 73 Audio Reviews
  • 156 Art reiviews
  • Total Reviews: 583

Well it looks like I definitely did become more active in reviewing more flash movies and slightly did better with audio and game reviews. Could have sworn I did more art reviews though.

Also hey I finally got to use bullet points on the BBS for the first time

...though seems there's still a bug in how you can't quote them! :/ Nice rise with the increased reviewing tempo though! I guess all of this info should be fetchable via the logs too hmm... could be interesting to flick through as the years switch.

I could have sworn I wrote more Art reviews this year than last though. Also I just got these stats the old fashion way by doing the math

The new data system should make all the lists easier to work with. This is also not the first list that I have volunteered to help with, or completely take over. We will see if I ever get the chance to try. Sometime, a chance is all you need.

For sure. Any thoughts on bringing back one of the older lists, though? Maybe it's not a stat you're interested in, but the Top Review Responses one has been abandoned a long time now. Would be pretty cool if that one was resurrected too.

Many reviews vanished in the updates and the aftermath.

Indeed, though it's a bug they know about so: hopefully that'll be fixed soon... same with code and quote tags.

Makes sense you can't quote images, but I don't think omitting lists is intentional.

It will be awesome to live in a time with no more bugs.

I recall giving the Audio Review List back to the original list maintainer after they had come back from a vacation I think and I ended up staying as the Review Request Club owner due to getting burnt out from reviewing at the time and losing the drive to want to help and maintain the club. I should probably poke my head back into that club more often seeing as it still gets requests almost every week for new content to be reviewed.

I imagine the lists will be much faster to update once byteslinger and BrenTheMan update the nglogs to pull stats from the site itself. Should add a list of all users from what it looks like, I could be wrong though.

Just a little update for you guys. I'm closing in on the list. Moved up 15 spaces since the end of November (and I was nowhere near it at the start of the year, so I feel it was a good one). Though I gotta let @Byteslinger know that I'm taking up 2 spaces, thegamingtrickster and TheReviewTrickster. Hopefully it won't generate yet another one for this new name.

Seems he is mainly helping with an API to make things faster and more secure. Otherwise; yea, BrenTheMan is a pretty laid back and polite guy.

Yeah that club could really use a revival... wish there was more time.

Hope so! Seems the main things are that it'll at least fix the (currently missing) submission stats, the rounded post numbers, and let review amounts be crawled without having to load each individual page. That's the one thing that really added a lot to the crawl time.

For the love of God, stop changing your user name! Is it an identity crisis, or are you hiding from the authorities again?

There was (past tense, it's now fixed) a glitch in the user renaming service which didn't clean up the old name. I patched that glitch up today, renamed your account, and cleaned up the standard stat info. Going forward, you shouldn't see the old names anymore. The stat reports will re-adjust themselves on Feb 1st.

Yeah, it was pretty easy with NGLogs. You can compare your stats on 2days, see lists for the ends of every month, etc. Have you tried it? You really should.
