If you are talking about the step sequencer, then what I think you are looking for is a way to extend how many notes you can put on it. There is the piano roll for that, but if you insist on using the step sequencer, then just change the amount of quarter notes per measure. There is a little box on the top left of the step sequencer that should originally show --, however you can slide that up and fuck with time signatures like that. That would also extend the step sequencer to however many notes you set it to. Hopefully that helped

8 for 2 measures of 4/4 and 16 for 4 measures of 4/4

I like using 9, 10, 5, sometimes even 23 :)

and I just looked Mr. Bounce, default is --! however it does default to 4 quarter notes, but if you slide it up to 4 it will look the same as if you left it alone.
