If you check out the website though, it has a list of their top 100 web games, including Pico, Mini Putt 2, Incriminati etc. They also often show URLs in the mag, in the US version I got over here too.

Tom, one NG-related rumor flying around in the underworld is that that an individual (or individuals) may be DOS'ing (packeting, attacking, whatever you wanna call it) NG. I don't know anymore than that, but I'd obviously go ahead and check you logs for any repetitious pings or other requests coming from the same IP address(es).

i subscribe to fhm uk and the amount of plugs over the last 2 - 3 months for newgrounds has been unreal also the fhm website has its 100 greatest online games to which newgrounds features heavily so this is probably why you got in shit over the copyright of the music used in pico vs uberkids and the slowness due to the amount of people that click on there link

Tom, try reminding us when the servers are upgraded.
I have a theory about where the problems may lie, it seems that i don't have as many problems on newgrounds with the slowness untill around 10:30 - 11:30 central time and thats about the time when the grounds gold day is ending and a new one is beginning so my theory is that everyone is logging onto grounds gold and jacking in just before the grounds gold day end and just after it begins i bet that if you check the server logs it will show that this time frame is when there is the most traffic..

It didn't reach number 6 in the greatest websites in FHM, the particular article on newgrounds was actually about mini-putt 2, and it was at number 86.
I've been wondering whatever's causing this thing. Every day for the past week, it's "Lost connection to MySQL", or something like that. It has been EXTREMELY annoying--and I wonder if there may actually be something wrong with my account. I connect from a cable connection, and all other sites work well. Even Newgrounds loads pretty decently, but after viewing/voting on about 3 or 4 movies, newgrounds will completely refuse to load anything else. All I get is a blank screen--not even a page title at the top. And it just freezes up like that. No error messages. It only effects going to all NG-related sites--every other site still works. I can't do anything to fix it except restarting the computer--yet that means that I don't reacy the 5-film quota to deposit experience. That also means that I have to restart the voting process all over again--which is usually stopped again due to the very same bug.

I've been wondering about that and hoping that things would spead up around here. The only reson is because the only time I can get on to this site with it working properly is at night, and I don't like that!

All the time during this slowness ive got my experience points EVERY day using this rule. (british time)
6am-12am Fine
12am-4pm No more instant loading
4pm-6pm Getting slower
6pm-10pm Only just possible to get all 10 exp
10pm onwards IMPOSIBLE
The other night i tried to get my experience points at 10:30pm and it took me an hour. I usually get them when i first wake up before i go out (it takes 2 mins) to save the pain by the evening. If you cant even navigate the site and vote on 5 movies what chance do people have of enjoying the site and watching movies. I watch movies only on weekend mornings when i have time but on weekdays i just vote on movies ive seen before. By the way newgrounds was 6 in fhm uk. people keep thinking its 86 as they are getting muddled up with another feature in the same mag which puts mini-putt as 86th best game.
