Which is why it says it's "based" on a true story, not an actual true story, it's just bits and pieces of actual things that sort've took place and things have be tweaked to make it more entertaining. But based is such a loose term, you can make a movie like Star Wars based on my life lol.

Actually, if Jack the Ripper were a murder in the modern era he would barely be a foot note in the news paper. There have been alot of other murderers that killed more prostitutes than Jack the Ripper, and many others who just killed more people in general. The onyl reason he is famous is because of his impact in the small area he worked in.
