We can have both Halloween AND winter icons posted on the same page. I expected a new layout from the staff but this is even better.

Hate that my current level only has a flake of snow on the top of it but I level up tomorrow and I havn't seen the winter baseball bat yet. Hope its better.

At first I was disappointed when I logged on just to see the 09 christmas layout, but once I went onto the forums I was surprised they managed to every level, it looks great.

I'll be making demands to the staff to get the snow off our level icons sometime after the Manchester meet. By then we'll have had snow icons for a month. St. Patrick's Day and Halloween icons only lasted for a day or two.

I know the feeling, I've started my fourth year at college. Only one year of college left and then two or three at uni, lucky me. Its hard to think that my first year anniversary of joining Newgrounds is fastly approaching, only seems like a couple of months ago. All in all '10 has been quite a decent year, bring on '11. I feel qualified to join the lounge because I tend to make most of my posts on these boards than in any other. I am a 'member' of roughly one dozen clubs here and would like to add this one to my pornfolio to even it out.

The gen. crowd is a bit much and also a bit too little to keep my interest, so having a place here where one can talk about their general interests without having to deal with +1 spam and all manner of dickery everywhere is a welcome sight. Other boards I post from time to time in are Wi/Ht - I haven't set foot in any of the newer forums yet (Video Games, Art, TGF2, Collaboration...), but I'm sure they're mostly alright.

While we're on the subject, holiday level icons are the worst - they are worse than Burger King. I guess it's nice to have the place look so festive, what with the snowy theme and all the weapons wrapped up like stocking-stuffers. I am not in a holiday mood, so I could care less - they should do something for other holidays people celebrate around this year that aren't Christmas. Truly, Tom Fulp deserves special mention, for making his level icon a snowman - probably the coolest icon I have seen yet.

Anyone in the spirit of the season, what are you writing down on your list? Have you already completed your end of this consumerist holiday by wrapping a material object in a material wrapping for your materialistic friends and family? How about getting yourself a piece of the pie and giving yourself a gift or two? I decided to finally treat myself for once by getting 12 PS3 games for about $300, including Castle Crashers - I have been holding out all year, so I figured it'd be nice to catch up before the it ends.

Being that I'm stuck with Gold for the rest of the year and can't change my aura to fit what I want my icon to look like, I sort of enjoy the holidays where there's at least a little change to my avatar.

I never get too much into Christmas. I bought my sister and brother some things but am probably going to pick up cards for the rest of the family. Living on your own and attending grad school is tough on the budget. My in-laws got us a wii for christmas, which is really cool of them. Last year they gave us a netbook. My mom bought me a flight home for the holidays since moved to the other end of the country this summer and wasn't planning on heading home. So far I've gotten all I want from the trip: a trip home and some free skiing at the ski mountain thanks to volunteering for some ski races - which also got me 2 free tickets for any future visit. I always get sticker shock when I look at the prices of lift tickets these days. $80 a day seems prohibitively expensive for even enthusiastic skiers and riders. But I suppose there are plenty of opportunities to go on the cheap by finding a part time job at the local mountain, getting a season pass early or at a cheaper mountain with reciprocity or signing up to volunteer for events.

Strangely, the US doesn't celebrate Boxing Day. Could someone explain this to me? You'd think any capitalistic circlejerk of a holiday would be all the rage here in the States but I guess we get all worn out leading up to Christmas and need half a week or so to recover before wasting all our X-mas card money on booze on New Years Eve.

I've always seen it as a Christmas Day aftermath and nothing more. Usually my family catches up on other people on this day. We're often too busy to see other family members on Christmas Day.
