2) Just to make sure, will there be no stopping Newgrounds in at least the next year or two? (Like, if www.newdgrounds.com flops completely, Newgrounds won't suffer or change?)

This is good in a sense that we can get all the porn flash movies to their own little section, and keeping newgrounds a traditional flash site where the idea and creativity sets the flash movie is the most important issue. You can get free porn anywhere, but my main concern is not having NG end up totally turning into Newdgrounds in the future. As long as this dosen't happen, Newdgrounds is a great idea.

One feature from the original Newgrounds that would translate well to the new porn site is the byte sized movies. I'm not sure if anyone else watchs them now that they're off the front page, but that's practically an idea made for porn. You rule!

I'm now completely confused. I've held off from posting real porn on NG since I found it a few days back. I did that out of respect for the age group here and the terms that I agree to when posting. On the same page as the terms and conditions is an advert extolling the virtues of bestiality (done some of those too!). I get responses to my movies that suggest polar opposites, more porn, less porn.

I'm glad you've taken this step, it clarifies the situation. I produce porn/erotic movies and interactives at least I now know that New Grounds is not the place to post in future. I'll post one more and then that's it, it'll be porn (might as well go out on a bang -sic).

The way newdgrounds is set up at the moment, I can't post there either so, it was nice meeting you all. If Paul gets a means of uploading Flash (or shockwave 3D)then maybe I'll see you all over there.

NewdGrounds! - Such a golden idea! - I love it! - Unfortunately, it has a very strong potential to become a $ loser. And I'll tell you why. It is my understanding that, like NewGrounds - NewdGrounds will primarily rely on submitted material which will then be reveiwed for quality. I think we all know the ratio of great flash artists to poor flash artists nowadays. So this tells me the content will be very limited. The membership price is way too high for that. My advice: Lower the price of membership even if it means having to lower the artist fee/reward. It will carry Newdgrounds farther in the long run. I mean I can name 6 totally free quality adult sites off the top of my head.
Personal note: I happen to agree with what you're doing Tom. Any website that attracts the amount of traffic that Newgrounds does deserves to make some $ off it. No greater reward than making a living doing what you love to do, in your case - make flash productions. you say that you want to get the porn off of newgrounds, but im pretty sure that a pay site isnt going to do that. if all the porn hungry 13 year olds that come to newgrounds could be (or would want to be) paying for porn, they wouldnt be looking for it on newgrounds. this may help support newgrounds financially, but its not going to get rid of the porn.

Tom, when you created newgrounds, you though it would be a great place for people as your self to post their own flash games and movies. Now, for the last month or so... There is theese daaaaamn porn adds all over newgrounds, something isn´t rigth. You could add a "donate to newgrounds" section, where people could send you some cash to help out and get you guys paid, not becuze of some stupid, disturbing porn adds.

The "Adult 18+" section is a good idea if you absolutly MUST have this shit on NG. But have a adult 18+ AND adds on the other parts of NG is NOT GOOD AT ALL.

And remove all those damn sections... 2, If you must, keep the adult 18+ thing area, but REMOVE ALL THE ADDS, all people don´t whant to see that (okay I think most people don´t like to see that). I have no problem with newdgrounds being there, as long as all pornographic content in newgrounds is removed. as another person said before me, it is getting harder and harder for my peers to appreciate my flashes (which are NOT pornographic) with all the porn banners around. And yes, because of this, I can no longer show my work and its great reception to my parents because of the ads. I think consolidating all the porn into another site works, but I also hope that you guys filter the portal now.

doing this isn't censorship, it's making the adult features just a little less prevalent for people who don't want to see it at all.

If Tom really wants to "clean up the portal", instead of making a porno site he should make a sort of junkyard site. Calling it "shittingrounds" or something, the site would contain all the crappy stick figure movies, pointless movies that seem to have been done on paint that all seem to focus on poo and yes, the porn. Unless Tom is afraid of his ever-expanding portal library being reduced to about 200 really good movies, then just getting rid of all the crap is the way to go. However, if the porno site is helping him pay the bills, then the more power to him. I just don't think making a separate porno site is going to help clear all the crap that is in the portal.
