I just spent the last few hours doing laundry, dishes, and vacuuming. I let it all pile up for as long as possible, so that I don't have to deal with it on a more regular basis. I don't know if I am energized from doing housework, or if it is because I started going back to the gym after taking a 16 month break, but for some reason I'm feeling very chatty and thought I would post some stuff that isn't related to Pico 2 or the web server.
I'll start with some plugs! The first is for Tromadance, which takes place during the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. I attended the very first Tromadance, and would love to go this year. Unfortunately, I have classes on Wednesday and Thursday. Here is the schedule for anyone who can attend:
January 15th- 9:00pm-Midnight- Opening Ceremony and Reception at Night Flight Comics (Cottonwood Mall- 4835 South Highland Drive, SLC Utah 84117)
January 16th- 6:00pm-Midnight SLC Official Screenings @ Brewvies (677 South 200 West- SLC Utah 84101)
January 17th- 9:00am-6:30pm- Park City Official Screenings- Phat Tire Saloon (438 SO. MAIN Street- PARK CITY, UT 84060)
7:00pm- TromaDance 2002 Panel Discussion, (topic to be announced)
9:00pm- FREE TromaDance After-Party featuring the Finals of the First Annual Ultimate Tromette Competition
In other news... Shok is in Philly right now. I missed him at the Khyber because I had a wedding to attend, but we finally got to hang out yesterday. Shok recently did the soundtrack for A&E's Biography on River Pheonix - keep an eye out for it! All the music is by Shok! Also in this episode of Biography is Wil Wheaton, who has his own Blog.
MIT's Technology Review has a "special issue" about ENERGY. Pick up a copy at your local news stand! It is about all the fun alternatives to oil. I hear Bush is actually looking into fuel cells for cars now, which are non-polluting and can be made in America... I think - I just heard that, didn't actually read it anywhere.
If you are looking for some good music to listen to, I highly recommend The Strokes.
I hear that a video game company has moved into Philadelphia. Their name is Dream-something...? I am curious to learn more, so if anyone has any info, hook me up!
Ok, I'll get back to working on Pico 2 now.
