I always thought Tales of Phantasia's graphics were rather revolutionary for the time. It looks early pixel Playstation 1 quality, for being a SNES game.
I love the simplistic style of Earthbound, along with that of many RPGs like Chrono Trigger.
I really like the SuperFX graphics of Star Fox 1 & 2.
Earthbound and its wacky enemy designs.
Dumbass
YOSHI'S ISLAND, I personally think it's one of the best looking pixel art games of all time.
So much color, and expression, and I love the use of a painted looking art style, even despite being small crunched up pixels.
Take it with a grain of salt, I am slower than a snail.

YESS!! It gives off such a vibe as if you're in a kids drawing. It's such a good game that I have yet to beat!

Man, I love me some PS1 pixel art aesthetic
Kirby's Dreamland 3 by far! It nails the crayon-look even better than Yoshi's Island imo.
The gameplay sells the look more, but I love the opening too!
Definitely Clayfighter, especially because mostly everything in the game is made of actual clay.
I still adore the look of Earthworm Jim and its sequel on the SNES. I know that both were also on the Sega Genesis, but there's just something about the versions for Nintendo's console that just look so damn polished and refined yet approachably wacky.
They literally feel like actual Saturday morning cartoons that you can control.

Honestly I really love the art style for Pop n Twinbee , It's so vibrant and colorful ... a good number of konamis titles had good aesthetic
would also take look into Super robot Taisen 3 if youre a fan of Super robots and real mecha, turn based strategy and suer deformed art

man the early Tales games had such an interesting battle interface.
I always loved the look of Kirby's Dream Land 3
It's somewhere Between Earthbound and Super Mario World, they look very goofy. I also love FFVI and Chrono Trigger, they pushed the console's grahic capability to mind boggling limits.

Super Mario World is my childhood and the artstyle is fondling remembered in my books. As for the other 2 games I could tell they do reach the maximum capabilities ;)

Ayyy that's a good one. I haven't played it much but it goes well for that crayon aesthetic which I love the implementation in snes games

Same here, LOVE that crayon style
Earthbound's is very memorable for the angled perspective.
What little I know about how 2d games work, I assume it must have been a pita to do since I can't think of a whole lot of other games with it.
I'd say super metroid and yoshi's island for it's animation, although it's the first of its kind to use segmented animation.
Best regards
Probably super metroid. The color palette really sells the environments. I know some other people are saying earthbound and I think that one is great too, but I haven't played it.

It's a must play! Trust me you'll be addicted to it and it's a pretty long game to complete. I plan on replaying it
