Hello partner! Welcome to the Earth Day Collab!

Boxanne needs your help on this special day!

In this collab, you will have to share an artwork that features a character doing something wholesome for our planet, the society, the environment, or something among these lines. It can be your OC, a Newgrounds character, or whatever you want.

Deadline is gonna be set for April 20. Earth day is April 22, that's the day the visualizer for the artworks will be published.

RULES

Rules are fun. They help you avoid jail.

• No NSFW or gore. We want this to be wholesome and open to everyone.
• Not AI works. This shouldn't be necessary, but better safe than sorry.
• If you publish your art in the Art Portal, please add the tag "earth-day-collab-2024".

You can also share a motivational phrase to promote care to the environment, whether you post your pic in this thread or in the Art Portal. If you do so, it will be included along your artwork in the visualizer, otherwise, only your artwork will appear.

I've began the conceptual phase for the design of the game. I know I specified visualizer in the first post, but I'm wondering, if I happen to get a better idea to highlight everyone's works, I might go ahead with that idea instead

I usually work with either 1920x1080 canvas or 2000x2000 for a 1:1 resolution. If you worry about the dimensions that much, i'd recommend any 1:1 resolution that goes between 2000 and 640 pixels (for both width and height)

I was thinking, should I allow musicians to participate too? I dunno how exactly you would make a song that celebrates earth, but music is not my strong point, probably someone gets a nice idea.

If I went to get enough songs, I'd share them in the form of a album, but again, that's supposing music actually allows ideas in that direction

I can barely draw but I really wanna try and make something for this, I just really like this theme and it would be a perfect excuse to practice more. I've joined and failed 2 collabs in the past but I'm hoping the third time might be the charm lol.

Whenever I look at nature I think of either ambient or soft idm music, I believe that kinda stuff would be fitting for something like this, with a more acoustic vibe maybe. I have made a couple tracks specifically themed around nature before, here and here, they are a couple years old now but I think the vibes are still appropriate for an example. I could totally do more of that kinda thing specifically for this collab (it would also sound a lot better 'cuz experience and stuff y'knoww).

If we gathered enough music tracks in this collab, I would group 'em all in an album, that would be published in both .mp3 format (in the Audio Portal) and if everyone is okay with it, in the .mp4 format (in Youtube). If we gathered very few amount of tracks, maybe they can be used as the soundtrack of this game idea i'm planning to showcase everyone's works.

For a side note: I find it necessary to have at least a 30 min of music tracks to make a suitable album.
