The Flameshake art thread

Hello, and welcome to my version of one of these things. o/

I've been on newgrounds for 2 years now but aside from a handful of different forum posts and the secret santa events, I've mostly just kept to myself. I tend to try to draw something different each time I decide to make something so I'd say my artwork is pretty varied. With this topic I hope to get some more feedback on my stuff, whether its what people like, dislike, generally think, and whatever else people are comfortable sharing.

I don't know the consistency of which I'll be updating this but I do hope you enjoy your visit to this.

ANYWAYS

I think the first artwork I'll share will be from the start of this year, where I was trying to practice with perspective.

A couple of weeks after that, I remember wanting to draw something that had a sort of 'filter' look to it, at least in the background, so I made this piece

At the time when I showed some friends that ink drawing from the first post here, a lot of them seemed to show appreciation to it, moreso than most of the stuff I shared with them so I decided to try another ink pen drawing.

One thing I recall wanting to get better at overall at the start of the year was my backgrounds in general, so I tried another perspective one that tried to give an odd but comforting feeling to it.

Another thing I knew I wanted to try for the year was 3d stuff. I tried blender but all of the tools it had were overwhelming at the time, so I used a really old program called Cosmic Blobs to try 3d art out. This was one of the first things I did with it.

I noticed that a lot of my artwork up to this point had a lod of bold lines so I wanted to try drawing something without them, so this was the first artwork I did like that (at least in a while)

At some point I decided that on the trend of trying new stuff, I would draw something I normally don't, which in this case was something NSFW. I also tried making the proportions a bit more normal as opposed to how my others characters end up being shaped.

And from the last artwork, I was sparked to want to make more monstorous character designs, so I sketched a few out.

I think this piece kind of solidified how I draw 2d art more: flat colors for the character and lots of patterns in the background. I may have put too much into this one but I still enjoyed doing it.

Since I play vrchat, I wanted to make my persona usable in the game so I went through learning blender enough to get this made.

Another medium I decided to try was pixel art. This first one was near the start of the year for pixel day that I think turned out ok, but was certainly fun to do.

A more recent example of my pixel artwork would be this one though from July. Its pretty small but I still like how it turned out. I enjoy using limited color pallets sometimes.

Since 90% of digital art I do is vector art, I decided to try only using straight lines for this piece

Some of the stuff I worked on the longest would be these, different rooms made in blender and ported to VRchat. I only have the 3 right now and am still debating on adding more or not. 3d stuff is pretty tough and time consuming.
