When you say "Scouted this year" does that mean, people who participated in the previous one no longer can enter and this is aimed for new newgrounders? I have participated every year so I dunno if I am getting this right?

We mean that this year, we are requiring that all participants have been scouted. Last year it was open to EVERYONE, and that got messy. If you are scouted on the art portal, you can join.

This may be a really dumb question, but how exactly can I tell if I'm scouted? I vaguely think I am but no idea at all. I can post to the art portal but I can't figure out where to look for a thing to tell me I'm scouted beside that? If I am tho I'm joining in.

Go to your art page then put "/tree" at the end of the address bar . Like so:

Takes you to your scouted page of people you have scouted recently. If you are not, an error page will come up saying "-username-
is not a member of the art portal". So youre pretty much golden! Go forth an spread merry! :D

Thank you for that, I was googling how to find it and all the ones I found they're like "Well DUH you should know you got the PM and accepted it!!" but i had been MIA from this site for like a year almost and forgot if I had been or not. So wait. How does one get rescouted after being descouted actualy. From what im understanding there shoud be a "scout this person" button when they are unscouted. But since i dont have that button i cant be rescouted. I can fully understand if this is to hinder being rescouted right after being unscouted. I understand thet i need to be at a certian skill threshold that im not currantly at. Thats what it means to be scouted. But if @PsychoGoldfish questioned me if im actualy scouted makes me question that there is supposed to be a scout button and im just experiancing a bug or somthing. So @TomFulp: how does one get rescouted actualy? And what is the prosess? Beacouse i am quite comused.
