Good at recording guitar?

The fundamentals would be a guitar cable and recording interface. From there you should check out amp and speaker simulators like this. They're much less expensive than the real thing, and you won't need to go through the pain of using microphones to record. There's also decent free options available if you scour the internet.

If you aren't new to recording, or if you were looking for something else specifically, reply to my post and I'll try to give you some other pointers.

What do you already own and what do you want to be able to do?

You don't need any more equipment then, you've got the basics. Sounds to me like the best thing for you to do is put in 3 -9 hours a day of practice for at least half a decade.
