Thanks for your interest, but we only accept submissions from Newgrounds. Have you uploaded "Lightning Bugs" here yet?

It’s great to get another shot at the contest this year lmao. I just crossed my 1 year anniversary of making music too. I remember last year I submitted a track with not even a month of experience making music, and it just was terrible lol. Thanks for having me again!
8th time's the charm (I hope). This one's all about the god Anubis. Good luck to you all.
Tossing my own hat into the ring with something I released earlier this year.
Worked a GOOD while on this one and this contest happened to begin just as I finished it finally. Here’s to the end of the 50 states series!

“Awesome! How do I join?”
To submit a track for tryouts, just click “respond to this topic” in the top-right corner of this webpage, and post a link to your track. For this round, it can be something you wrote years ago, or you can make it from scratch specifically for the competition. You can also change the piece you’d like us to judge by posting a new one before the deadline. Before posting, just make sure you read all of the rules that couldn't fit in this concise forum post.
When’s the deadline?
You have until 23:59 (11:59 p.m.) Eastern Daylight Time on August 3rd, 2023 to enter the competition. This contest also has some other scheduling details that go with it that you might want to check out.
What happens after tryouts?
Immediately after the tryout submission phase, the participants will be grouped evenly based on their fan totals, and about half of them will be accepted into the next round. Participants won’t directly compete outside of their groups until the Final Round. There are 3 rounds over the course of about 2.5 months.
What happens if I win?
Prizes will include custom-made forum signatures for the top 3 finishers boasting of their success, as well as spots on the front page of the Audio Portal the week after the competition. This year, I’ll also personally pay for year-long supporter upgrades for the top 3 finishers.
And who are the beautiful humans that make all this possible?
@ADR3-N, @Benji-G, @Michael-Flaherty, @Midimachine, @SplatterDash, @TeraVex, @VociferousMusic, @WobWobRob, and myself have joined the judging team so far. In addition, @ADR3-N has helped me immensely with some administrative stuff related to the contest.
Also, @Decky makes the forum signatures for the winners, and @TomFulp runs the entire website and stuff.
Is the U.S. government really going to ban TikTok?
Um, I don’t know. But I do know that NGUAC contestants should READ THE COMPLETE LIST OF CONTEST RULES before participating. When in doubt, ask for clarification in this thread or via PM.
But above all, remember to have a ton of fun! May the competition begin! :D

Congratulations on finishing the series, dude! Now I want to see you live up to your username and make a bunch of steak-themed songs: flank, ribeye, tenderloin, etc.

That would be hilarious. Imagine I make the songs purposefully different qualities depending on how much I like the steak
meant underdog, guess most stuff's underground here. oh yeah I made some edits/additions. hope that's fine. might do more but will keep any alterations at least a week before aug 4th

Yes, up until the deadline, edits/additions are fine. Thanks for asking!

I'll submit this song, I'll save the really cool ones for later lol

Fair warning that "saving the cool ones for later" is not really a valid strategy considering you'll have to make new pieces from scratch in future rounds. That said, you're more than welcome to switch out this track if you'd like.
