How nuts can we go on this? I've got a unity game I've been working on for about 2-3 years that'd fit in real nice with Robot Day, and I'd love to try and submit a demo.

Assuming I can get it up and running by August anyway. It was definitely NOT built with WebGL in mind, lol.
I got a few WIP ideas: one that reminds me of the tin man from the wizard of oz and one that's more nier-ish
what do you think?

WELP, I just climbed back out of a 3 day rabbit hole with the realization that there's realistically no way I'll be able to actually get a demo of my game WebGL ready in time ðŸ˜
Apparently Unity's WebGL/IL2CPP build pipeline reeeeally does not like dynamic typing and reflection, which is absolute garbage as I have a ton of it sitting at the bottom of my game's state management system. There's no way I'm even gonna think about overhauling that entire piece architecture just for a demo.
But what I CAN do is make a playable demo that people can download and enjoy on their desktops. And that'll mean I'll just have to dump a metric crap ton of concept and game art come Robot Day to get some free advertising. ;D
Time to go revert a bunch of changes in my repository. 🙃

Not a robot, but I'm working on redoing the opening cutscenes of my game, and there's some narrative set up that has to happen. My next update will have some actual art of robots, lol.

And here's that finished ship as well. I may end up taking a different stylistic approach in-engine though, as I don't think I can do up the cutscenes that'd be part of the demo with this same level of render and finish in time for Robot Day.

I wasn't sure when Robot Day would be this year, but I'm glad it is when it is. My little group has been making a robot themed game, and we were shooting for a summer release regardless, but now it's more concrete than ever. See you in August!
