This is a simple photography thread where I usually post a bunch of photos (usually landscapes) I took while being bored.

The main cameras I use are:

And my brand new Canon EOS M50 Mark II (24MP) which I bought for myself since my mom wants to become a photographer, and I needed a decent camera for references (as well as for fun photography):

As you can see, I kinda like taking pictures of empty streets and locations. Always love a good liminal space; especially during winter.

Should be updating this semi-regularly since I've got a decent stockpile of pictures I've taken with these cameras

Playing around with colours

One thing I've been doing with my new camera is play around with its ability to change the contrast, saturation, and white balance all within the camera.

Although the stock settings on the camera are nice, and do a good job of showing what is actually there. Something about the old BlackBerry's colours looked better in some shots

So I decided to experiment with these cameras to pretty much get the best of both worlds

Canon with more of a green hue

Cannon with more of a blue hue

The BlackBerry has a bit of a strange camera. It has both a slight blue-ish/purple-ish hue for some things (like the gray wall, and the blue speaker), but other things have this green hue (like the wood). I think using a more blue-ish hue for this photo works a lot better than using a green hue (kinda makes it look like it came from the Matrix movies). But if there's anything you can take from this, it's that playing with your camera's colour settings can turn a decent photo into a great photo.

LOL! Was gonna write Fun Photography, but I decided to be a little "clever" and write fun with a "ph" instead, so that it could be an alliteration.

Was not expecting that side effect.

Funny you mention that. Because before making this thread I asked Tom Fulp about it just to see if it was allowed and where to put it (since photography isn't allowed in the Art Portal), and he told me that yes it's allowed in the forums and to put it in the General forums as a way to have something more interesting in there.

Taking pictures is dumb i can just go outside and look around

...but I do though...taking pictures is just a way to capture a moment that would have been temporary and makes it more permanent

...plus it's cool to look at breathtaking landscapes

Reminds me of a place I used to live. It had pretty much this same view along with a huge forest in the back.

I loved that place, even the house itself was beautiful, but we had to move-out due to the insane amount of maintenance that was needed for that place with only 2 people to take care of it all.

It was not meant to be.
